CG writes: Take a look at the follow two videos from the VR game, entitled VR HOT. Forget the adult-themes for a moment and just ponder the direction and complexity of the AI chat software used in the game. It produces and emotionally charged AI character chat that may or may not end-up being somewhat off-putting for some players. Towards the end of one of the videos, the AI chat character becomes somewhat too needy when the player says he is ending the session. This kind of emotional tugging of the strings is quite interesting to experience. Question were wondering, is yes, its fine to have realistic conversations with AI, but is being more realistic favourable in the long run, when emotional response dictates the conversation path? Do players actually want that, or an escape from it.
