Today’s spotlight deals are some incredible prices on SanDisk Ultra Micro SDHC Memory Cards and WD External Hard Drives. For those of you who have been looking to expand your storage capacity, especially for your Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox consoles, this is a great change. The only caveat is that this deal only lasts through today. In addition, the excellent Dell and Alienware Semi-Annual Sale is still going on and PlayStation Plus members get a fresh new crop of free games today.

The Best Memory Cards for Nintendo Switch on Sale for Today Only (400GB for $44.79)

The Nintendo Switch comes preinstalled with only 32GB of storage. To put that in perspective, Breath of the Wild alone will take up 40% of your storage capacity. I’d recommend you get  at least a 128GB card if you want to store as many smaller digital titles as you want, and the larger 400GB card if you plan to download bigger titles.

WD Black P10 “Game Drive” 5TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive for $91.99

This portable hard drive is compatible as external storage for your PC, PS4, or Xbox One. Portable drives are physically much smaller than their desktop hard drive siblings. However, they are just as fast and require no additional power other than the USB port. The only tradeoff is the higher cost per GB, but that point is moot with today’s deal. The P10 model sports a metal shell and in order to reduce costs, it doesn’t come with any backup or encryption software, since console gamers can’t use any of it anyways.

WD Passport Ultra 5TB Portable Hard Drive $99.99

Here’s another 5TB portable option on sale for today only. The PassPort Ultra model includes automatic backup software and password protection with 256-bit AES hardware encryption for a slightly higher price than the P10. It also sports a durable metal shell.

Massive 12TB External Hard Drive for $174.99

This is a crazy price for more storage than most of us will ever need… yet. The next gen games are going to be huge, especially if they’re going to be stuffed onto 4K discs, so you better get ready now. It’s compatible with the PC, PS4, or Xbox One but unlike one of those small portable drives, you’ll need to plug this into a power outlet as well as a USB port. It’s worth it for all the storage (there’s no such thing as a 12TB portable drive).

50% Off Anker PowerCore+ Hybrid 19,000mAh Power Bank and USB Hub (for Data Sync), Now $59.99

Save $60 on this unique multi-purpose device. First of all, it’s a 19,000mAh power bank with USB Power Delivery, which is perfect for charging the Nintendo Switch (it will charge the Switch even while you’re playing it). Secondly, you can switch it to “hub mode” and it will function like any other hub; plug USB devices into it, plug the power bank into a PC, and you can data sync or transfer files between each other. A USB-C PD wall charger is also included (can double as an AC adapter for your Switch).

Dell G5 Intel Core i5-9400 6-Core Gaming Desktop with GeForce GTX 1660 Ti for $663.99

Use code “EXTRA17”

If you want a new 2019 model AND a tremendous value, then take a look at this Dell G5 gaming desktop. The base config comes with a 9th gen Intel Core i5 processor and GTX 1660 Ti video card, but you can upgrade to a Core i7-9700 for about $120.

New Alienware AW3420DW 34″ 3440×1440 Curved 2ms 120Hz GSYNC IPS Gaming Monitor for $849.99

The previous low for this monitor was $999.99 on Black Friday. The new AW3420DW replaces the AW3418DW, which was considered by many to be the best gaming monitor. The AW3420DW improves upon its predecessor with a faster response time (2ms vs 4ms), better color rendition (98% DCI-P3 range, which is a stricter standard than sRGB), and a more modern body style that complements the newer lineup of Alienware PCs. It also retains the best features of the AW3418DW, like the 3440×1440 21:9 resolution, fast 120Hz refresh rate, GSYNC compatibility, and a superior IPS panel that delivers excellent viewing angles.

Alienware Aurora R9 AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming PC for $1037.49

Use code “EXTRA17”

For those of you who haven’t been keeping up with the Intel vs AMD CPU war, AMD has been giving Intel a run for its money with its flagship processors. The new AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core processor is comparable to the Intel Core i7-9700, both in terms of gaming and workstation performance. It’s paired with an RTX 2070 video card, which is superior to the previous generation GTX 1080, as well as plenty of RAM and a spacious 1TB solid state drive. The Radeon RX 5700 XT performs on par with the GeForce RTX 2070.

Alienware Aurora R9 AMD Ryzen 9 3900 12-Core GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER Gaming PC for $1510.59

Use code “EXTRA17”

The new AMD Ryzen 9 3900 processor is comparable to the very, very pricey ($500+) Intel Core i9-9900. The Ryzen 9 boasts 12 cores and is superior to the i9-9900 in productivity and app performance, especially with apps that can use all 12 cores. In terms of gaming, the i9-9900 is still slightly faster, but the margin is within 10% difference. It’s matched with the latest generation RTX 2080 SUPER video card.

Alienware Aurora R9 Intel Core i7-9700 8-Core RTX 2080 SUPER Gaming PC for $1352.89

Use code “EXTRA17”

The new 2019 Alienware Aurora desktop boasts a facelift, improved thermals, new RGB LED lighting system, toolless chassis for easy swapping of parts, and performance components. The new RTX 2080 SUPER is the latest generation of RTX cards and is modestly superior to the RTX 2080 (which is already more powerful than the GTX 1080 Ti).
