The demo-packed Steam Game Festivals are becoming a fixture of the PC storefront, and I’m so here for it. The latest event began this morning and will continue until February 9 at 10:00 am Pacific.

At first glance, the landing page for the February 2021 Steam Game Festival is better than before for casual “let me poke around” browsing. Maybe you have a wishlist all ready to go – that’s the ideal way to do it – or maybe you’re interested in trying some upcoming PC games but aren’t sure where to start.

Steam has a bunch of genres, sub-genres, art styles, and even “moods” to help you whittle things down. That said, there are hundreds of Steam Festival demos to sift through if you’re up for it.

I’m not above using the Popular Upcoming list as a cheat sheet. Little Nightmares II is up at the top, and I second that, hard – I wish I could say more today! Also consider looking into Tasomachi, Dream Engines, Stay Out of the House, Loop Hero, Genesis Noir, Minute of Islands, Dorfromantik, and Steel Assault.

One last thing: you don’t need to have played the first Little Nightmares to dig into this demo.
