Now you can play Remedy’s Control on the Nintendo Switch ... as long as you have a solid internet connection. During this morning’s mini Nintendo Direct, the company confirmed that a cloud version of Control: Ultimate Edition is available today on its hybrid console.

Cloud-based games on the Switch are nothing new, but it is still new for players on the west. In order to get Control on that Switch system, players will need to have a Nintendo Account to be able to access the Cloud service. More than that, the internet connection must be strong in order to play the game well, performance-wise. Shoddy internet? The game could drop completely, it needs a solid connection in order to perform.

In order to test the connection, which is required to buy the game, there will be an additional launcher used to make sure that the internet is stable. This also means that interested players will need to buy an Access Pass, which comes in at $39.99.

The spiritual successor to Alan Wake, Control is a supernatural adventure that was launched to incredibly positive reception from the community. Jesse, the game’s protagonist, was a huge hit with fans, and with even more content on the way for the sci-fi journey, the Cloud Nintendo Switch version is yet another way interested players can join in on the fun.

“Despite a few drawn-out battles near the end, Control is a complete rush. With the power at Jesse’s fingertips, I walked into every room ready for an amazing fight,” reads our full review of Control by Ben Reeves. “When I walked out, it often looked like a tornado had torn through the building. The Federal Bureau of Control is a fascinating place to explore, and I loved every bizarre encounter inside its creaking hallways.”

Interested? Control is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC with a Cloud-version on Nintendo Switch arriving later today.
