Whether you’re a new Switch owner or a long-term player, it’s never too late to dive back into IGN’s 2017 GOTY, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The bestselling Zelda game of all time – and regularly cited as one of the greatest games ever made – Breath of the Wild is packed with enough content to keep even the most zealous Zelda fans busy for weeks.

One of the many things that kept us busy were Breath of the Wild’s 120 Shrines. IGN’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Shrine guide contains solutions to every Breath of the Wild Shrine puzzle, with detailed directions on how to collect every Shrine treasure. Each puzzle shrine in Breath of the Wild has at least one Treasure Chest and Spirit Orb, and securing four Spirit Orbs will allow you to expand your Heart Containers or Stamina Vessels by trading them at any Goddess Statue (located in the Temple of Time and all major towns).

Breath of the Wild’s Shrines offer a variety of challenges. Some are small dungeons containing a central puzzle theme, while others feature monsters that test Link’s combat skills. These encounters can range from relatively easy to quite difficult.

You can also use IGN’s interactive Breath of the Wild Shrine map that details the location of every Shrine in Hyrule. The map features the ability to check off Shrines as you complete them, which should help cut down on any confusion.

Note that some Shrines aren’t always visible, and Link will need to undertake Shrine Quests to solve riddles to reveal their location. There are 42 Shrines in BOTW that cannot be accessed until their corresponding Shrine Quest is completed.

There are also some “free” shrines. These include the Shrines in the Lost Woods and the three labyrinths, plus some Shrine Quests. These Shrines contain no puzzles or monsters and the Treasure Chest and Spirit Orb are awarded simply for accessing the shrine.

You can discover all Breath of the Wild Shrine locations by region below!
