Yesterday Microsoft revealed a whole bunch of next-gen games coming to Xbox Series X, including our IGN First for the month of May, The Ascent.
Now, we’ve got an extended look at raw, next-gen gameplay for you (yes, actual gameplay). Watch the video below to see 12 minutes of The Ascent from developer Neon Giant:

While you can see for yourself above, The Ascent is an action-RPG set in a cyberpunk world – think a bit like a mix of Diablo and Judge Dredd. While the gameplay video above is solo, it will also be playable in co-op as you collect loot and take on a city full of mega-corporations.
The Ascent will be a launch title for the Xbox Series X, so keep in mind that this is alpha footage and plenty could change before its holiday release. Of course, it will also be available on Windows 10, as well as Xbox One, Xbox One S, or Xbox One X through Microsoft’s “Smart Delivery” feature, where you only need to buy it once to play it on any of those.
