The news comes as cinemas begin to close around the world and the entertainment industry continues to wrestle with the ramifications of the global covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The decision from Warner Bros. to bump up Birds of Prey’s home release follows word from Universal Studios that several of its films that are currently in the middle of their theatrical runs would become available digitally as early as Friday, March 20.
