Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will get a new Fighters Pass, including 6 new unannounced characters, and you can pre-purchase it from January 28.

Fighters Pass Vol. 2 is in development now, and the promise is that the new characters will all be released before December 31, 2021.

Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai explained that all 6 new characters have already been decided, and apologised that people would be pre-ordering the pass before knowing what’s inside, telling players to do so only if they’re “OK with that”.

If you pre-purchase the Pass, you’ll receive a Zelda: Breath of the Wild Ancient Soldier outfit. This won’t be available to purchase separately.

The announcement comes after the first Fighters Pass ended with the addition of Fire Emblem’s Byleth. Mii Costumes – including a snazzy Cuphead gunner look – were also revealed.
