The Nintendo Switch was the best selling console of 2019 and we’re not surprised at all. The Switch was released nearly 3 years again and still no other console is able to match the Switch’s versatility. In addition, the already stellar gaming library has been bolstered with several high quality games in 2019, including Pokemon Sword and Shield, Super Mario Maker 2, Link’s Awakening, Ring Fit, and much more. With increased pressure from Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo is likely to be more aggressive with deals and promotions during 2020. Check here for all the best deals on Nintendo Switch consoles, accessories, and games.

Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle for $299

switchmariobundlegrayBack from the dead! This deal is very similar to the Black Friday deal we saw everywhere (now expired), except that this Switch includes the gray Joy-Cons instead of the neon ones. Note that the Switch is a first generation model (identical but with ~2 hour shorter battery life than the current model). It’s still an excellent deal considering you get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for free – one of the few games that never dropped in price during Black Friday.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Digital) for $41.99

mk8deluxeFor those of you who already own the console but don’t yet own this game… what are you doing?? This is easily one of the must own titles for the Switch. It’s currently 30% off exclusive at the Nintendo eShop. This is a pretty rare deal; although we’ve seen discounts on physical copies of Mario Kart 8, we rarely find deals on the digital version.

Huge Nintendo Switch Digital Video Game Sale Going on Right Now at the Nintendo eShop

stardewvalleyThe Nintendo eShop has just launched a new sale today with a massive number of both AAA and indie games. Several of these games like Stardew Valley weren’t even discounted on Black Friday. There are over 900 Switch titles to choose from.

Nintendo Switch Pro Controller for $59

nintendoswitchprowirelesscontrollerThe price of the Switch Pro hasn’t changed since Black Friday, but this deal won’t last forever. This is easily the best wireless controller for the Switch console (and quite possibly the best controller, period). Apart from the Joy-Cons, this is the only controller that supports rumble and amiibo NFC functionality. Definitely get this if you prefer the traditional gamepad layout or you use the Switch in docked mode often.

The Best Memory Cards for the Nintendo Switch

sandiskultra400gbIf there’s one accessory you absolutely need to get for your Switch, it’s a memory card. The Switch comes preinstalled with only 32GB of storage. To put that in perspective, Breath of the Wild alone will take up 40% of your storage capacity. I’d recommend you get  at least a 128GB card if you want to store as many smaller digital titles as you want (like Celeste, Overcooked 2, or Cuphead), and the larger 400GB card if you plan to download bigger titles (like Breath of the Wild, Pokemon Sword or Shield, or Super Mario Odyssey).

A Great Value Power Bank for the Nintendo Switch

romosspowerbank2This 30,000mAh power bank will work well with your Switch for these reasons:

  • It supports USB-PD (Power Delivery) charging up to 18W, equal to the official charger
  • Thanks to the full 18W of charging output, it can fully recharge a dead Switch in 3.5 hours
  • The Switch has a battery capacity of about 4500mAh, so you could fully charge it 6 times
  • USB-PD power banks can charge the Switch even while you’re playing a game

It has solid user reviews and costs four times less than the official Switch power bank.

A Smaller, Slimmer Power Bank Option

aukeypdpowerbankThis power bank has a smaller 10,000mAh capacity, but that means it’s smaller, lighter, and less expensive. It can fully recharge a depleted Switch about 2 times.

Refurbished SNES and NES Classic at Nintendo

snesclassicNintendo direct is selling refurbished SNES and NES Classic Edition consoles at a discount. The SNES Classic is currently selling for $69.99 (MSRP $80) and the NES Classic is $49.99 (MSRP $60). Since these systems are sold out everywhere else, this is easily the best way to obtain one without paying scalpers’ prices. Despite the fact that they are refurbished, Nintendo is offering a full 1-year warranty, same as new. Nintendo explicitly states “We think you will find the standards for Authentic Nintendo Refurbished Products are VERY high.”

Pair of Wireless NES Controllers for Nintendo Switch for $29.99 (Originally $59.99)

switchnescontrollersYou’ll need to be a Nintendo Switch Online member to get this sweet deal. The Switch Online Membership gives you free access to enhanced NES and SNES games, and what better way to play retro games than with authentic retro consoles?  Interestingly, the controllers charge by clipping onto the sides of the Switch, much like regular Joy-Cons.

$50 Nintendo eShop Gift Card for $44.99

nintendogcYou’re basically getting 10% off all of your digital game purchases from the Nintendo eShop up to $50. You’ll need to be a Costco member to get this deal.
