Sam Raimi says that he and Bruce Campbell are working with a filmmaker who will write and direct a new Evil Dead movie. Raimi is up for directing another one himself, but only if Campbell comes out of retirement as the character.
Raimi made the announcement in a Reddit AMA on Thursday while promoting the remake of The Grudge, which Raimi produced. As for who’s making the new Evil Dead movie, Raimi only said that the filmmaker is young and male. He also expressed hope that Campbell will return to the role.
