Mark Hamill, the beloved actor who first brought Luke Skywalker to life over 40 years ago, took to Twitter this week to share some memories and photos of Luke over the years. His fans rallied in the comments, sharing memories and anecdotes about how his performance has impacted them since 1977.
Hamill tweeted: “As the end draws near-I can’t tell you how much 1 single role has meant to me over the years. Because of him, people feel they know me-Because of him everyone is my friend-Because of him it seems like the whole world is my family. I will be grateful for that…Forever. #BeingLuke.”
