Members of the press were able to see Todd Phillips’ Joker ahead of its screening at the 76th Venice Film Festival, and the first reviews and impressions are overwhelmingly positive towards the film and its star, Joaquin Phoenix.
In our 10/10 review of Joker by Jim Vejvoda, we called it a masterpiece and said “Starring a captivating Joaquin Phoenix, The Clown Prince of Crime gets a standalone film for the ages with Joker.”
Many others shared our praise of the film and agreed that Phoenix gave an Oscar-worthy performance as Joker in a film that is dark, sick, and twisted.
