A new teaser trailer for new Pokemon cards debuted at the Pokemon World Championships 2019 in Washington, D.C., giving players their first look at what to expect from the new Sword and Shield expansion — and it looks like something big is coming.

The trailer showed off “Pokemon V” as a new card type, although no details were given beyond the name and that Gen 8 legendaries Zacian and Zamazenta will have a Pokemon V card.

Their attacks were shown but other attributes like Energy cost, Resistance, Weakness and Retreat Cost were missing, as is typical for this kind of preview. Text at the bottom of the card reveals that Pokemon V will essentially be the successor to Pokemon GX — powerful cards that give up two Prizes when knocked out.
