As the final season of Game of Thrones came to an end, a common concern among fans was that major characters were being quickly killed off to facilitate a shorter-than-usual production, neutering much of the emotional catharsis built up over the past near-decade. While secondary players like Varys and Euron Greyjoy being dispatched might make sense, it was the death of Cersei and Jaime Lannister that perhaps upset fans the most, and actress Lena Heady feels similarly, according to a feature from the Guardian.
