Splitgate: Arena Warfare is a combination of iconic FPS like Halo or Unreal Tournament, and the beloved puzzle game Portal. It is a new, free-to-play, online shooter out now on Steam.
Splitgate looks like a tried and true arena shooter, but is made unique by the inclusion of player-controlled portals. The contrast of close quarter combat and instantaneous cross-map teleportation inspires constant movement which sets this shooter apart. It also employs a simple 1 through 50 ranking system and standardized loadouts to make online play feel fair and balanced. With all those ingredients Splitgate is as easy to learn but difficult to master.
