Funko figurines, all ballooned heads and lifeless eyes, rarely don’t suck. Their appeal is obvious enough. Funko has its tendrils in every corner of pop culture, and people want memorabilia from things they like. It makes sense, disproportionate and ugly as they may be.
But, I’ll be damned, this is a good Funko. The Blooming Curiosity Pikachu figure is cute and vibrant and energetic. Dare I say, it seems like it’s amiibo quality. And, it looks like it’d fit in alongside some Easter decor (although it definitely won’t be here in time for Easter).
Blooming Curiosity Pikachu is the third of 12 planned Pikachu figurines. Funko and Pokemon Center teamed up to release a new one every month, a line that’s called “A Day with Pikachu.” The other two are fine, but not as great as Blooming Curiosity. Check them out here.
