Warframe’s excellent Venus-themed Fortuna expansion is finally making its way to Switch tomorrow, February 5th, developer Digital Extremes has announced.
Fortuna, like Warframe’s Plains of Eidolon expansion before it, introduces a sprawling new open-world area, this time in the form of Venus’ undulating, snow-covered landscape. The planet’s surface, known as Orb Vallis, is “an exotic terrain blanketed with Orokin structures, towering mushroom forests, oceanic flora, and endangered native creatures”, while the hub-like dept-interment colony of Fortuna lies far below.
Fortuna serves as home to the new Solaris United faction, and it’s here that players collect missions and bounties before venturing back aboveground to uncover all sorts of new lore-y stuff, including The Business, Eudico, Rude Zuud, and the Ventkids.
