Aspects of Trials Rising’s multiplayer will be cross-platform, publisher Ubisoft has revealed.
Though player-versus-player competitive modes will be restricted to each individual platform – unlike say Fortnite and Rocket League – other features such as leaderboard progress and user-created tracks will be shared across PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch.
There are some caveats to the way it works. With ghosts, for example, “players play the track and record ghosts in leaderboards that afterwards can be accessed by players from other platforms”, a spokesperson explained to Eurogamer, while track editor sharing might be bound by performance.
