ScienceFiction.com has reported that The Name of the Wind is in need of a new director after Sam Raimi has exited the job.
Back in January, Raimi was said to be in negotiations with Lionsgate to direct The Name of the Wind, the first in a trilogy of films adapted from author Patrick Rothfuss’ Kingkiller Chronicle novels.
Revealed by an anonymous source close to the film, Raimi is now no longer involved in its production.
