Fans apparently weren’t the only ones surprised by Netflix’s sudden cancelation of Marvel’s Daredevil last week. Daredevil’s writers also didn’t see it coming.
As was revealed by showrunner Erik Oleson on Twitter last month, Season 4 had already been pitched to Netflix. Two weeks later, however, Netflix would confirm it would not renew Daredevil. In an interview with io9 writer Tamara Becher-Wilkinson recounted what it was like in the moment.
