Episode 2, we discover, is when the main driving force of Season 3’s plot kicks in. It still holds remnants and remains of the premiere’s soulful focus on Matt’s lost soul – complete with a few flashbacks to him as an angrier-than-usual young lad at the orphanage, who believed God granted him his powers to hear people’s prayers and protect them when needed – but the adversarial element truly ignites when Fisk manages to get himself extracted from prison and placed into (pent)house arrest.
