Netflix has an ominous-looking show ready for the Halloween season. While Sabrina the Teenage Witch has had a fun-loving tone in past iterations, from the Archie comics to the ’90s sitcom, Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is making things a lot creepier.
The trailer, which debuted today, reintroduces familiar characters like protagonist Sabrina Spellman alongside Harvey and her aunts Hilda and Zelda.
As a half witch and half mortal, Sabrina must make a choice on her sixteenth birthday between the witch world and her human world. From the executive producers of Riverdale, this new story brings dark magic and horror. Judging from the trailer, which plays the happy-go-lucky song Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen in the background, could maybe have some hints of comedy horror too.
