With Gotham ending after its upcoming fifth and final season on Fox, fans have been wondering whether the door could be open for another Batman series on the small screen, and reporters wasted no time grilling CW president Mark Pedowitz about the possibility of the Dark Knight popping up in the Arrowverse during The CW’s presentation at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.
The CW previously announced that Batwoman would be introduced as part of this year’s four-show Arrowverse crossover between Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and that the network is in early development on a potential spinoff series for Batwoman should her appearance prove successful.
