Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon has left Twitter after an offensive 10-year-old sketch has been brought to light by the far-right corners of the internet.

The sketch, titled ‘Daryl,’ was a spoof on Showtime’s Dexter, and aired on Channel 101,  the short-film festival that Harmon co-founded in 2009. Daryl featured Harmon as a “baby rapist with a heart of gold” (as opposed to Dexter’s serial killer with a heart of gold). In one sequence, Harmon simulates sex with a baby doll.

Nobody had paid much attention to Daryl until recently, after 4chan dug up the video. As Polygon notes, it subsequently spread to the popular pro-Trump subreddit The_Donald, and the Twitter account of far-right commentator Mike Cernovich, who was instrumental in Disney’s recent firing of James Gunn from Guardians of the Galaxy 3 due to offensive tweets he made in his past.
