For some unknown reason (maybe it has to do with hundreds of millions of players on Fortnite and PUBG), MapleStory 2 will be receiving a “battle royale” mode soon. This was actually announced earlier in the year, but the latest beta will include the “Mushking Royale” mode for all to try. Since MapleStory 2 is actually releasing internationally, you can sign-up for the beta to try out this odd rendition of the massively popular game mode. The upcoming beta will run from July 18 to July 31, though mushking will only be active from July 20 to July 22.
Here is a trailer to see how mushking royale works. Everything is in Korean, so I’m not exactly sure on the specifics, but it definitely looks like a battle royale. I’m surprised someone found a way to make it work without guns, which definitely has me more excited than the influx of generic shooters adopting Epic Games’ and PUBG Corp’s success.
