Is there room for a third shared Marvel Universe on the big screen? Sony seems to think so. This fall’s Venom movie will kick off a new series of movies spotlighting anti-heroes and villains of the Spider-Man franchise, one that may not be tied to the MCU and features little or no involvement from Spider-Man himself.
Can Sony actually make a Venom movie work without Spider-Man? Isn’t Eddie Brock’s own origin story tied directly to Peter Parker?
