The story behind Hitman 2 – the real-life development story, I mean – is one that ends well for gamers. The Hitman reboot, released episodically in an experimental fashion, successfully recalibrated the franchise back to its sandbox-y roots. Still, publisher Square Enix parted ways with developer Io Interactive afterwards, returning the Hitman rights solely to the Danish studio. Thankfully, Warner Bros. quickly swooped in to help bring us more Agent 47, and now Hitman 2 is out this November as a full-fledged, all-inclusive single-release sequel. And after spending 20 minutes improvising my way towards the assassination of a race car driver, I absolutely can’t wait to see and play more.
